Honoring RiverRenew Miners for National Miners Day
As National Miners Day on December 6th approaches, we’re looking back at the accomplishments of the miners who helped create the Waterfront Tunnel, which will prevent over 120 million gallons of combined sewage (sewage mixed with rainwater) from entering the Potomac River each year. The dramatic reduction in pollution will improve aquatic habitats, reduce bacteria, and create healthier waterways for future generations.
